Job Summary
The successful applicant will perform a variety of routine clerical work such as: filing, data entry, typing routine documents, preparing lists, receiving mail and goods, and maintaining department supplies. Duties also include: maintenance of Health Records including preparation of charts replenishing necessary forms, and chart thinning. Other related duties may be required.

Job Demands

Regularly required to lift objects less than 10 lbs, and occasionally weighing 10 to 25 lbs.
Opportunity to occasionally stand and walk within the office environment.
Occasionally required to bend and stretch to retrieve and return files.
Visual concentration is required to transcribe; enter information into an electronic document control system; and to type and format text and schedule appointments.
Auditory concentration is required to respond to telephone, staff, and visitor inquires.
Time pressures and interruptions are typical.

Job Qualifications
Successful completion of a one-year Office Administration program from an approved/recognized college is required.
Successful completion of an approved/recognized medical terminology course is required.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.

*Proof of a current office administration program and medical terminology is required. To be considered current, they must have been completed within the last five years, unless it has been used in recent positions. This must be demonstrated on the application form.

** If medical terminology isn't current, a medical terminology test may be administered by the Human Resources Client Services Department.
