Job Summary
Eastern Health's Mental Health and Addictions Program is offering the opportunity of Site Clinical Coordinator. This position will report to the Regional Director of the Mental Health and Addictions Program responsible for Acute Care and Tertiary Services. S/he will be responsible for the overall direction and coordination of administrative, clinical and human resource activities within the divisions of the Mental Health and Addictions Program at the Waterford, Health Science Centre Psychiatry, Janeway Psychiatry, Community Care Program, Recovery Centre, ACT Team, Tuckamore Centre, and four divisions of the Rehabilitation and Continuing Care Program, including Bell Island, during evenings, nights, weekends and statutory holidays. The Site Clinical Coordinator will also be responsible for aspects of Eastern Health's working Alone Policy as it pertains to program staff who work after hours and/or on weekends. This position may, at times, have on-call responsibilities.

Job Qualifications
Education
Bachelor Degree in a health related discipline is required.
Master's Degree preferred

Experience
A minimum of five (5) years clinical experience within the last seven (7) years in acute psychiatric/mental health is required.
Previous management experience is preferred.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Knowledge of quality improvement principles, human resource management, utilization management principles and discharge planning are essential.
Knowledge of the clinical needs of patients..
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, decision-making, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and autonomously.
Demonstrated progressive leadership skills.

Other
Current registration with a professional association is required.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
