Hours	75 bi-weekly (12-hour shifts; days, nights, weekends; rotating required)
Salary	CG-34 ($29.95 - $33.36 per hour) The following Sign on Incentives may be applicable and can be combined: 1. Signing bonus up to $10,000 2. Come Home incentive up to $50,000 3. Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist performs mechanical ventilation, airway management, cardiac arrest code as part of the team, critical patient transport (internal and external), respiratory diagnostics and general therapeutics.

This position reports to the Division Manager but may be sceduled to work in other Acute Care areas of the hospital as required and maintains accountability to the Regional Professional Practice Consultant for Respiratory Therapy for professional integrity and practice issues.

Job Demands

Constantly moves/lifts up to 10 lbs, regularly moves/lifts up to 25 lbs. and occasionally is required to reposition/move up to 30 lbs. Pushes/pulls up to medium force.
Constantly walks/stands with occasional fast pace/run; works in awkward positions to perform/assist with procedures.
Constantly uses fine finger/precision, auditory, sensory, and visual concentration to provide clinical interventions, assess/monitor patients, to complete documentation, etc.
May be subject to time pressures/deadlines and subject to lack of control over work pace.

Job Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy is required.
Current registration with the NL Council of Health Professionals is required.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.

*The successful applicant must be willing to complete at the first available opportunity Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) in-house as determined by the employer.
