Job Summary
This position reports to the Regional Manager of Allied Health - Peninsulas area and maintains accountability to the Regional Professional Practice Consultant for Respiratory Therapy for professional integrity and practice issues. This is advanced therapeutic and technical work in the application of medical and diagnostic procedures as they relate to respiratory therapy. The Respiratory Therapist II also participates in an on-call rota and performs patient transfers as necessary.

Constantly moves/lifts up to 10 lbs, regularly moves/lifts up to 25 lbs. and occasionally is required to reposition/move up to 30 lbs. Pushes/pulls up to medium force.
Constantly walks/stands with occasional fast pace/run; works in awkward positions to perform/assist with procedures.
Constantly uses fine finger/precision, auditory, sensory, and visual concentration to provide clinical interventions, assess/monitor patients, to complete documentation, etc.
May be subject to time pressures/deadlines and subject to lack of control over work pace.

Job Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy is required.
A minimum of three years' experience within the last five working as a Respiratory Therapist in an Adult Acute Care setting is required.
Proof of current registration with the NL Council of Health Professionals is required.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.

*The successful applicant must be willing to complete at the first available opportunity Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) in-house as determined by the employer.
